REA LASER CL
CO2 Laser Technology
Industrial coding and marking with CO2 Laser Systems from REA LASER have a decisive advantage: they are consumables-free and virtually maintenance-free, i.e. low follow-up costs. The REA LASER CL laser marker is simple and intuitive to operate. It has a graphical user interface including a modern rotary knob with touch function.
CO2 Carbon dioxide laser
10.6 µm; 10.2 µm; 9.3 µm wavelength
10 W, 30W, 60W laser power
The REA LASER CL carbon dioxide laser is ideal for industrial laser marking. Thanks to its compact design and freely rotatable print head, it is easy to integrate into production plants or manufacturing plants.
TheCO2 Laser marking system can be used for marking packaging, plastic and aluminum components, glass and wood as well as food, among other things. Texts and graphics of all kinds up to a size of 250 x 250 mm, including dynamic text fields, can be created.
The integrated pilot laser also allows REA LASER CL to set up new products fast. The maintenance-free and almost maintenance-free operation as well as the possibility of remote diagnosis and remote maintenance make theCO2 laser marker particularly economical.
It generates the laser beam using a carbon dioxide laser. Energy is supplied to a mixture ofCO2 ( carbon dioxide), N2 (nitrogen) and He (helium) in a sealed laser tube, producing light waves. These emerge from the tube as a laser beam and are directed onto the product to be marked via mirrors. When the laser beam hits the product surface, high temperatures are produced which vaporize the surface material. This produces an engraving, a color change or a color removal. The marking is contact-free, precise and fast.
Product Applications:
- Marking of organic materials such as wood, leather, paper, cardboard and foodstuffs
- Marking of folding boxes, packaging, packaging material and secondary packaging (e.g. in the pharmaceutical, cosmetics and food sectors)
- Alphanumeric texts, 1D-Barcodes, 2D-Matrix-Codes, machine-readable codes and logos
- Variable data such as date, time, counter, shift code and database content
- Coated substrates (e.g. anodized aluminium)
- Direct marking of foodstuffs
- Marking on laser envelope color
- Engraving on color mirrors
- Engraving on glass (window glass, drinking glasses, mirrors, etc.)
- Rubber such as elastomers and thermosets (BR, NBR, IIR, EPDM, CR and IR)
- Silicone such as MQ, VMQ, PVMQ, PMQ, FMQ, FVMQ
- Different processes are used depending on the material: Tempering, engraving, ablation, foaming, color change

Controller
The REA LASER CL controller features an intuitive interface with a bright, high-contrast 5.7-inch full-colour display. Operation is via a durable rotary push-button with touch function, supported by a number pad, special keys, and five context-sensitive function buttons. This user-friendly setup minimises training time while ensuring reliable, safe operation.
Laser Unit
The REA LASER CL series delivers accurate, high-speed laser marking using air-cooled CO₂ lasers with an integrated pilot laser. Available in three models—CL210 (10 W), CL230 (30 W), and CL260 (60 W)—the units operate at wavelengths of 10.6 µm, 10.2 µm, and 9.3 µm.
Focusing lenses (100–300 mm) allow precise adjustment of the laser beam, while digital mirror control supports high marking speeds. The flexible deflection unit reaches difficult areas, and optional beam guidance elements enhance integration into production lines. A compact design and the “Fineline” option (for finer focus and higher resolution) make the CL series ideal for a wide range of marking applications.
Our REA JET DOD 2.0 printing system offers you the choice between two different controllers: the Universal Controller and the Universal Touch Controller. Both controllers enable intuitive operation of the printing system.
With the Universal Controller, you can operate the system using the rotary and push buttons on the control unit. This controller also has a number pad and a cursor block.
The Universal Touch Controller uses the latest technology. It is operated exclusively via the large 10.1" display. With no buttons or knobs, operation is even simpler and more intuitive. The tile-based user interface of the Universal Touch Controller even allows the coding and marking system to be precisely controlled with gloves.
The ability to connect print heads with up to 1024 nozzles to one controller gives you a high degree of flexibility and allows you to configure the printing system to suit your individual requirements.
