The REA PC-Scan LD4 is a barcode inspection device that conforms to ISO/IEC 15426-1 (measurement accuracy and characteristics). It is used when measurement results with the highest precision are required. The maximum measuring width of 220 mm allows the measurement of oversized barcodes and the exchangeable measuring head allows adaptation to the measurement requirements.

The REA PC-Scan LD4 features comprehensive functions for precise measurement and analysis of barcodes, based on the ISO/IEC 15416 and ANSI X3.182 standards . Users can activate optional parameters for optimal printing process control and save, import and export multiple setting profiles , which facilitates the configuration of multiple devices.
The device offers automatic differentiation of the most important barcode symbologies as well as a check of code sizes and check digits . The check can be expanded with optionally configurable parameters according to user specifications and symbology standards. A required minimum quality is set. The test result is only passed if the required minimum quality is achieved. Functions such as multiple measurements for averaging, checking of bright fields with extended edge zones and ratio control for two-bar width codes (e.g. Code 39, 2/5i) are part of the measurement.
To ensure compliance with GS1 specifications, the REA PC-Scan LD4 offers support in evaluating GS1 data structures and the option of displaying and printing test reports as GS1 reports. Multilingual user guidance and test reports make the device flexible for use worldwide.
